Youth Futures, which has been empowering children and families in Lod for over a decade, has established a trusting and profound connection with both the Jewish and Arab communities there, particularly in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood.
In the past weeks, Ramat Eshkol and other locations in Lod have experienced severe acts of violence between Jews and Arabs against their respective homes, schools, and places of worship. The events have traumatized families, especially children, in both sectors of the community.
Since the outbreak of violence, many children and adults have been experiencing severe anxiety and symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress. The community urgently needs access to emergency mental health care. Our beneficiaries – at-risk children and families – lack the financial resources for such treatments.
Your support will enable us to provide the Youth Futures community with a Family Space.
A mental health clinic inside the community center to provide clinical psychological support to children and adults.
A safe place to seek help, and to assist the residents of Lod in processing their trauma, growing resilience
and – for parents – learning best practices for guiding their own children.
