What We Do

ALIYAH

The Hebrew term for immigration to Israel is “Aliyah,” which means “to go up” towards Zion. It is the one Hebrew word every Christian should know!

Many Jewish families around the world are eager to return home to Israel in order to escape persecution and reconnect with their ancient heritage. Often, this major transition of entire families is only possible because of the financial assistance of The Jewish Agency and generous donors.

KLITA

The Jewish Agency plays a vital role in klita—the absorption of new immigrants making Aliyah to Israel.

From the moment they arrive, families are welcomed with housing, Hebrew language classes, job training, and a supportive community to help them begin a new life in their biblical homeland.

Just as the Scriptures speak of God gathering his people from the four corners of the earth, The Jewish Agency turns that vision into reality by ensuring that every new immigrant is not only brought home but is also given the tools and care they need to thrive in Israel. This work is both practical and deeply spiritual, as it helps fulfill ancient prophecies while transforming lives today.

ISRAEL AT WAR

Since the tragic events of October 7th and throughout Israel’s ongoing war, The Jewish Agency has been on the frontlines of support for the people of Israel.

Beyond its mission of bringing Jews home through Aliyah, The Jewish Agency has provided urgent aid to families displaced from border communities, safe housing for children and elderly, trauma counseling for survivors, and emergency relief for those most affected. In these difficult days, its work embodies the biblical call to “comfort My people” by meeting both physical and emotional needs.
