The TEN program is an ethical service-learning program, with centers in Israel and developing regions around the world, in which global volunteers work alongside local partners to better the community and embody the value of Tikkun Olam.
At Kibbutz Harduf in the lower Galilee in Israel, Jews and Arabs live and work together to create a truly shared society. The Kibbutz is dedicated to promoting Jewish-Arab collaboration, empowering marginalized populations, and striving for equal opportunities. The TEN Center at the Kibbutz, called Sha’ar La’Adam (a gateway to humanity), was established in 2013 and is renowned for fostering social and educational community initiatives, with TEN volunteers engaging in a range of activities aimed at strengthening the community itself and the two population’s ties to each other.
In these hard times of turmoil in Israel, Sha’ar La’Adam offers a ray of hope and light for the future of Jewish-Arab co-existence in Israel and is absolutely critical.
