On February 28, after weeks of increasing tensions, Israel, the United States and Iran entered a new war. In retaliation against Israel’s “Operation Roaring Lion,” Iran and Lebanon have launched missile and drone strikes against Israel, wounding and killing civilians and causing widespread damage to infrastructure.

At this critical time, The Jewish Agency, as always, is on the ground and responding with immediate assistance and emergency funds. Your donation today will help us provide:

  • Financial support to bereaved families, the injured, and those whose homes were destroyed, including immediate emergency grants and help with longer-term rehabilitation
  • Coordinated assistance for evacuees and families who have lost their homes, in partnership with municipalities, including emergency aid and resilience support to help them begin to rebuild
  • Targeted support and care for the most vulnerable, including children, seniors, and those facing trauma

Provides one emergency grant from our Operation Roaring Lion Fund to an Israeli who was injured, lost an immediate family member or whose home was destroyed in a terror attack, including by rocket or missile fire. Grants are delivered within 72 hours to help victims meet urgent needs.

  • Sandra, 86, broke her hip attempting to reach the safe room in her grandson’s home. Jewish Agency representatives promptly reached out to Sandra’s grandson and his wife, who suffers from PTSD from the October 7 attacks, to offer vital support.
